Why are so many people undercover voters for Donald Trump?

The 2016 Presidential campaign has ended, but it leaves us a lot to think about. Media and polls were were incorrect in predicting the results, which indicates that something is definitely wrong. Trump's party was confident that it had the support of a group of people it called "undercover" or "hidden supporters, and claimed that these would be the group of voters that would help him win the presidency. This resulted to be true and fascinating at the same time. Why did so many people in a democratic country with the right to freedom of speech? We will define the term "undercover voters" for Trump as citizens who voted for him but choose to hide the fact from polls and from the people around them. This survey only has nine questions.
