During this academic project, it will include theoretical and practical research, investigating how film and TV promote UK tourist destinations and the impact it has on the local area economically. This will be achieved by finding and using statistical data and information. According to, Sanyal (2009) the film and TV industry plays a crucial role in emerging destinations, due to the vital and complex relationship between tourism and media. In recent years’ tourism has become highly dependent on the film and TV industry, as the media is reporting on the vast majority of destinations that tourists have never experienced first-hand Sanyal (2009).
