Is "Talking to Yourself" A Bad Thing?

2019,  United States

The purpose of this survey is to find whether or not talking to yourself corresponds with being a more organized person. Often, talking to yourself is considered strange behavior because of stereotypes. I, myself for example, often imagine a person suffering from schizophrenia as the stereotype for someone that talks to themselves. This is often reinforced by the entertainment industry as well. Though this is in fact reinforced by scientific research, my goal is to see whether or not people that are NOT suffering from a serious mental disorder have a tendency to be more (or less) organized if they verbalize their ideas out loud.
