Garbage Disposal

The CSTD Board is conducting this survey to find out how many residents would like to sign up with IWS for garbage and recycling pickup. IWS, formerly, Oak Ridge, already services a number of homes in CSTD, and is now offering CSTD residents discounted rates, depending on the number of homes that sign up. If at least 500 homes sign up the rate will be $16 per month, which is significantly less than what other companies are charging. If less than 500 homes sign up, the rates will be as below.  

IWS will pick up BOTH garbage and recycling once per week on either  FRIDAY OR MONDAY, depending on which day CSTD selects. IWS has agreed to keep rates fixed for 2 years, with up to 3% annual increases in years 3-5, at IWS' option. Rates may adjust if the number of homes increase or decrease to a different level, and if they drop below 150 homes, the rate will be the nondiscounted regular rate offered to single customers. 

If you would like to to sign up, please select one of YES choices below, and also provide your email and phone number so you can be contacted. When the survey is finished, CSTD will review  the results. If at least 175 homes intend to sign up, CSTD will notify residents what the actual rate will be based on the table below, and will forward the information to IWS who will contact those who selected YES. If less than 175 homes intend to sign up, the IWS proposal will not be implemented and survey information will not be given to IWS. 

Please note that the Board is doing this as a service to residents, but CSTD will have no ongoing involvement. All arrangements, payments, etc will be between residents and IWS.
