The Goose Wing Saber
*Indicates a response is required.

This rare Chinese martial arts weapon is known as a Yanchi Dao (雁翅刀). Initially, it was a falchion-like weapon with a heavy blade that was popular in the early Qing dynasty.(1644-1912). Forging and metallurgy techniques from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) enabled the blades to be made more slender and stronger. Goose wing and goose quill sabers came to be generic terms for any Chinese sword or polearm with a very steep clip point.
