As we all know, for the 4th time, someone has broken the wooden entry gate. Before replacing it yet again, we thought we would obtain some feedback on the value of a gate. Please let us know your thoughts on or before Monday, 29 July. in essence, there are three alternatives:
Remove the gate entirely, or
Repair the existing gate as/when required, or
Upgrade to a more robust "sliding" or "pivot lift" gate system (approx. cost $7,500 to $10,000).
At the end of the day, the Board has the ultimate responsibility to decide whether or not to keep the gate, constantly repair or upgrade it. However, before taking this decision, we thought it appropriate to find out how the HOA members themselves felt about the topic.
