Xfinity Cable versus Internet-only options

2023,  United States

As part of our ongoing efforts to  provide the best services and value for our community, we are seeking your input on an important decision regarding our internet and cable TV services from Xfinity. Your input will help us make a well-informed decison that alligns with the needs and preferences of our homeowners.

In considering your choices for these services, your opting for either the Internet Only package or the Cable and Internet bundle entails a  financial implication. Selecting Cable and Internet at $81.81 plus taxes per month for Fast (400 Mbps--which is double the speed we have currently) brings an estimated increased annual cost of $2.71/month ($32.50 annually) compared to the current cable services. With the Internet Only option, your potential savings could be $517 annually per homeowner, based on the reduced HOA quarterly fee. This rate comes at $41.50 plus taxes per month for Fast (400 Mbps).

Additionally, consider what hardware you might need with the Internet Only option (e.g., a smart TV and/or fire stick/streaming stick) as well as subscription(s) to additional streaming services (e.g., Hulu, Sling, Apollo) that will also be your out-of-pocket expense. Either plan locks in for 5 years, with a yearly 4% increase.
