WIN/IHRC Special Joint Meeting -- ABA ROLI and Women's Empowerment: Introduction to the Legal Reform Fund with ABA ROLI Senior Technical Advisor Rebecca Shoot

WIN will dedicate its regular monthly meeting to join with the IHRC in welcoming Rebecca Shoot and her team at ABA ROLI to speak with us about ABA ROLI's Legal Reform Fund and what it is doing to empower women around the world!

The Legal Reform Fund (LRF) is a recently launched project of the ABA Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI). The LRF will explore the economic barriers experienced by women in Latin America, East Asia and the Pacific across the following five pillars: access to institutions, building credit, ability to travel freely, acquiring, owning and managing property and removing barriers to employment. During this 3-year initiative, the LRF seeks to identify and address gendered economic barriers in national legal frameworks and influence policy and regulatory reform.

ABA ROLI’s Rebecca Shoot, Senior Technical Advisor, and her colleagues, Siddharth Divakaruni, Program Associate, and Joy Hammer, Program Associate, will discuss the LRF and how we can participate in this incredibly exciting and timely initiative.
