We are 2nd Pharmacy students and we would like to know your opinion about the information you can obtain about certain immunological diseases as a patient. It is important for us to highlight the amount of desinformation / information within society today, especially in the field of health, since information is now available to everyone, but without knowing whether it is reliable or not. A world-leading information technology consultancy, Gartner, said in its latest report, that by 2022 the Western public will consume more false news than true, it is worrying. The survey is anonymous, it is answered in 5 minutes and the results will be treated confidentially. Thank you very much for your time.
What is an autoimmune disease?
There are many different types of immune system disorders, such as immunodeficiency disease, autoimmune disorders, and allergic disorders. Immunodeficiency disease occurs when there is some kind of defect in the immune response. Autoimmune disorders occur when the immune system does not recognize its own tissues and attacks them. Allergic disorders occur when the immune system overreacts to substances that are generally not harmful, such as pollen, mould, and certain foods.
