Dear Respondent,

I am a student at The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton pursuing Bsc. Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics carrying out a study on the knowledge, attitude and practices towards risks factors of Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among UEAB students.

NCDs are illnesses, which are usually chronic in nature; they progress slowly and cannot be transmitted from one person to another. These NCDs include cardiovascular diseases (like heart attacks and stroke), cancers, chronic respiratory diseases (like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma) and Diabetes mellitus.

You are hereby requested to participate in this study by answering this questionnaire as honest as possible. Please note that there is no award that will be given by answering this questionnaire rather your responses may be helpful in development of preventive ways to curb NCDs among young people in Kenya. Whatever information you give will be kept strictly confidential.
