The Opioid Epidemic today is fueled by the Distributors. The main three consist of Mckesson, Cardinal Health, and Amerisource. These three company's control 85-95% of opioid distribution. To keep being able to distribute millions of pills a year, these company's provide campaign funding to elected officials. In return the elected officials that are now in office put pressure on the DEA to relax its monitoring programs. This allows monitor branch's of the DEA like the Division Control Division to not be able to report excessive opioid distribution. This cause distributors to distribute millions of pills to small town, with less than 400 people. With too many pills pharmacist over prescribe opioids to the population. Increasing the chance for people to get easily addicted, leading to 91 people a day dying from opioid overdose . Its time to put an end to big businesses control our government. Its time to end the Opioid Crisis
