A number of McMinnville businesses have been fighting a sign ordinance that has been on the books, but not enforced since 2008. If the city continues with enforcement and implementation, some businesses will have to pay 60-thousand dollars and more to move their signs several feet and make other minor modifications. The ordinance was put into place to keep large scenes from taking over the landscape.
