Childcare in Florida and the effects on low-income families. Work or stay home?

2017,  United States

The cost of childcare in Florida in my opinion is not family friendly. Wages in Florida aren't appropriate for the housing market either leaving it hard for a family to sustain an upper class to a middle-class lifestyle. Housing costs are high, Childcare is high, wages are low, therein lies our problem.  I feel we should we make the cost of childcare affordable based on a family’s income bracket. Supplementing funds for approved low-income to middle-class families through federal grants, state taxes, Medicaid, and sponsors. Should we continue things as they are, leaving middle class to low-income families struggling to work to pay for daycare or become low income because they are forced to stay home with one income and not pay for childcare?
