In this session we will explore the contribution of transport to decarbonising future energy system pathways in Scotland. We consider the current landscape in terms of demand for travel, the contribution of technologies in the transition towards low carbon transport and the enabling role of Government in facilitating innovation in the delivery of sustainable transport systems.
ETP Energy Innovation Emporium - Transport
The transition envisioned by the draft Scottish Energy Strategy, together with the ongoing integration of increased renewables, presents growing challenges for the grid infrastructure. This session will provide an opportunity to focus on the challenges faced and discuss the priorities for research, development and demonstration activities that will support the realisation of the flexible, resilient grid that best supports the efficient attainment of the ambitious policy targets.
