Potential Local Agency Management Program (LAMP) Evaluation

PURPOSE

Trinity County currently does not operate under a Local Agency Management Program (LAMP). The Board of Supervisors is evaluating whether pursuing a LAMP may provide additional flexibility in addressing onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) permitting challenges while continuing to protect public health and water quality.

To assist in this evaluation, Trinity County is seeking input from property owners, real estate professionals, brokers, developers, engineers, surveyors, septic system designers, contractors, and other professionals who represent property owners and routinely work with development projects throughout the County.

The Board is particularly interested in understanding the frequency, location, and nature of septic-related constraints that may impact property development, property sales, financing, or land use decisions.

Responses will be used to inform future Board discussions regarding whether further study of a LAMP is warranted.

Specific information on properties is much more useful than generalities.
