Pictou County & U of T National Private Residential Tree Survey

2026,  Canada

This is a national survey that is being administered across urban areas in Canada. The purpose of this survey is to understand the experiences of receiving and caring for trees on private land from municipal and non governmental led residential tree planting programs. This survey is a collaboration between a doctoral researcher at the University of Toronto and Pictou County. The doctoral student from the University of Toronto will receive and process the data. The results may help the Pictou County improve tree programs and support the development of Pictou’s urban forest. Feel free to fill out more than one survey if you have received a tree in other years.

Your participation in this national survey is completely voluntary, and your privacy is strictly protected. All data collected will be processed exclusively by the University of Toronto research team, with any identifying details removed or anonymized to ensure your responses remain confidential. The aggregated findings will be used solely to help Pictou County improve residential tree-planting programs and support the development and long-term health of Pictou's urban forest, ensuring your personal information is never linked to the results
