The Primary School Reading Improvement Program (PSRIP) is an ETDPSETA-funded program that supports learners, teachers, and subject advisors. The program is aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning in public schools through the improvement of literacy and reading in grades 1-6.
Objective
The PSRIP goals are founded on the understanding that reading is essential for learning in all subjects. It enhances life prospects and satisfaction. In line with this, the NECT backs the South African Book Development Council.
